Welcome to the official website of KVS Ernakulam Region, one of the 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Established in April 2012, the Ernakulam Region is committed to promoting excellence in education and nurturing young minds.
Located in Kochi, popularly known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea,” the region administers 42 Kendriya Vidyalayas, including two double-shift Kendriya Vidyalayas. This includes 41 Kendriya Vidyalayas across Kerala, popularly known as “God’s Own Country,” and Kendriya Vidyalaya Kavaratti in the Lakshadweep Islands. The region caters to the educational needs of more than 53,000 students and is supported by a dedicated workforce of over 2,300 employees. Kendriya Vidyalayas are premier educational institutions committed to promoting national integration and providing value-based, quality education through innovative teaching practices and advanced technologies. The Ernakulam Region strives to empower students with the knowledge, skills, values, and competencies needed to confidently embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future, both nationally and globally. |
